*Masters in Education K-6 from Samford Universtiy: Taught 1st grade for 5 years which gave me a strong foundation for teaching reading and language.
*Masters In ESL from Universtiy of Alabama in Birmingham
*I also have my AMS Montessori. certification: Owned and operated my own school in North Carolina ages 3-K.
I have been teaching ESL in Tarrant since 2005. I taught K-12 for10 years, 3-12 for 2 years, and starting this year I will only be teaching grades 7-12.
I spent a summer teaching English in Peru. The bio picture is from Peru. To learn more about the Latin American culture and language I spent a month with a family in Costa Rica.
I am truly blessed and grateful to be able to teach these hard working and determined students. These students have many obstacles to overcome such as interrupted schooling, culture diffferences, and academic expectations. I am quite honored to help them through these obstacles and because I have them for so many years, I feel like we are family. These students have taught me so much about life and they keep me motivated to do my very best for them.
